Our Christian Values

Live, Compassion, Respect & Believe

We at Mottram Church of England Primary school are very proud to be an outstanding Christian school (Siams 2017).

Our RE curriculum is rich and vibrant. It is an enquiry approach to Religious Education. We follow concepts from Understanding Christianity and use Discovery RE scheme of work (see link below Discovery RE for parents).

We hold collective worship daily following our Collective Worship termly plans. These cover themes related to No Outsiders in Our School, which teaches about the Equality Act, Global Citizen Calendar, which encourages pupil participation in active global citizenship and Picture News. which links to British Values and supporting pupils’ personal development.

Once every two weeks Reverend Cait Walker leads collective Worship in school. We celebrate Christianity through special days linked with the church; the most recent theme being Harvest.

Home School Values – FRIENDSHIP

Home School Values – HOPE

Home School Values – PEACE

Home School Values – THANKFULNESS

In each class we have reflection areas and displays celebrating our distinct Christian characteristics.

Our Christian Ethos is evident all around school –
